They’ll share more about Edgewater Hospital’s co-founder, Dr. Maurice Mazel, the iconic hyperbaric chamber and the handful of movies and TV shows filmed there. Hear why a nurse almost stopped someone who walked through one of the units one afternoon — until she realized it was Kurt Russell.

After Dr. Mazel died in 1980, we heard stories of fraud and scandal — but also tales of the hospital being haunted. Many reported seeing ghosts and things that could not be explained. One nurse shared how she was nearly trapped behind some storage shelves — after they unexpectedly moved. Hear why the hospital’s intercom system keep turning on…even after the hospital closed.

Matt Perry from the Chicago Paranormal Investigators did some ghost hunting outside the hospital back in 2019 and presents what he uncovered.
